Caring for your Remy Clip In Hair Extensions

Caring for your Remy Clip In Hair Extensions is just as easy as caring for your own hair. Remy hair is human hair that lasts longer and blends beautifully with your own hair. You don’t need any special tools and it’s all easily done at home!

Styling Tips
Just as you would care for your own hair when using heat tools like blow dryers and straight irons, you should also care for your clip in hair extensions with a heat protection spray. Modern ceramic heat tools reach up to 300 degrees and will easily singe and damage human hair.

Brushing
While wearing your clip in hair extensions, you can brush your hair with a wide tooth comb or good quality bristle brush while avoiding the clips. You don’t want the brush to tangle or pull on your extensions. At the end of the day, remove them and gently brush or comb, working from the bottom up, to smooth and detangle.

Washing
Although your clip in hair extensions are made with human hair, you should never wash them while wearing them. Gently wet the extension with warm water in a sink or by using a sprayer, being careful to rinse in the direction of the hair from top to bottom. You want to avoid tangling the hair while you rinse. Apply shampoo by combing through to coat all strands and then rinse until the water runs clear. You can also use a gentle conditioner by the same process.

Drying
Although you can dry your clip in hair extensions with a hair dryer, as you would your own hair, it is better to air dry your extensions to avoid heat damage. Like we mentioned earlier for styling, always use a heat protection spray before using a hair dryer. Otherwise, air dry until mostly dry and then use the hair dryer to finish and straighten the hair.

Your human hair clip in extensions are a great style enhancement that can be cared for easily and last for many hairstyles and uses with proper cleaning, styling and care.
